Molveno looks even better from high above, up at Pradel.
To get there on foot, follow Via Belvedere and, just after the cross, turn left onto the broad concrete forest track which climbs to Pian del Piof. When you get to the car park at Valbiole, turn left onto the forest track that leads up to Pradel (1,367 m). You can return to Molveno by the same route or via the Deft footpath, which is steeper.
If you prefer not to walk, you can take the cable car that takes you up to Pradel from the centre of Molveno.
It is a fantastic ride, giving you a wonderful view of the lake from above, allowing you to fully appreciate its colours in all their majesty. When you reach the top, there are numerous paths leading into the Brenta Dolomites and the many traditional mountain huts.
